My Golden Doodle Puppy
The hybrid between the shedding, loving Golden Retriever and the non-shedding, intelligent poodle is an affectionate, playful companion. My Golden Doodle Puppy are highly trainable and respond well to positive reinforcement. They are good-natured with children and will often play gently with them. This is why they are popular with families. However, as with any breed, they should be supervised around small children to prevent injury. They are also prone to separation anxiety, so early training is critical to help them stay safe and happy when alone.
Can Goldendoodles be left alone?
A healthy Goldendoodle will live from 12 to 20 years. They will need regular check-ups and grooming. Most of the time, this will include a routine bath and trimming of their coat. Since doodles get their hair genes from both their poodle and retriever parents, they can inherit either a curly or wavy coat. To keep their fur looking its best, they will need to be groomed several times a week. Using a soft, slicker brush and providing treats while grooming will help your puppy form a positive association with being groomed.
Because doodles are so active, they will need about half an hour of exercise each day. This can be as simple as a brisk walk in the neighborhood or as fun as playing at the park with their friends. If they don’t get enough physical activity, they may develop undesirable behaviors like digging or barking.
